Welcome to the Bollin PTA
The PTA is made up of parents, school staff and is led by an elected committee. We rely on informal teams of volunteers to organise events and initiatives to:
- Raise funds to benefit all children who attend Bollin Primary School
- Maintain a fun and active social community within our school
The Bollin School PTA is a registered Charity (No. 1003172) that operates through a Committee and Trustees. You can see more on the principles of how a PTA operates on the National Confederation of Parent Teacher Associations website: http://www.ncpta.org.uk.
All parents and carers are automatically members of the PTA, and we welcome your support in any way you can offer it. We are very flexible and always open to ideas and new faces getting involved: often individuals or small groups discuss ideas to propose to the committee, then work together independently of the committee to make them happen.
As you can see from the various images on this site, a great deal of fun is had by all!
Typical events include termly childrens' discos, Summer and Christmas Fairs, monthly cake stalls, a Macmillan Coffee Morning, Curry & Quiz Night and Summer Ball. In the past, we have also had Beetle Drives, Wine Tastings, Fun Runs, Auctions and a cook book. For more information on past and future events, see our Events page.
In recent years, we have raised funds to provide laptops, a new library, music resources, the playground trim trail, new sports kits and contribute to the new MUGA (multi-use games area). For more information on our fund-raising, see our Fundraising page.
